Our CARE Centre temporarily houses lost, stray and impounded dogs. Dedicated staff provides quality medical care, nutrition, socialization and exercise to the dogs in our care. Some of these dogs are waiting to be claimed by their owners, while others are being evaluated to determine their adoption needs.
The CARE Centre also offers a pet adoption service. Pet ownership is a serious commitment. Each dog that needs to be re-homed is carefully evaluated with the goal of finding the perfect match for dog and owner alike.
Check out some of the dogs currently available for adoption.
If you are interested in adopting one of our dogs, you will need to:
- arrange for a visit at 1-844-495-2273 or email us
- complete a detailed Adoption Application form, and
- agree to a home visit before and after the adoption.
A $250 adoption fee applies which covers the cost of housing, food and medical care. The fee also includes an identifying tattoo, spaying or neutering, microchip, and DHPP vaccination.
Donations of food, towels, blankets, Kuranda beds, crates and toys are always welcome. Charitable receipts are available for cash donations over $20 and may be available for significant donations of supplies. Cash donations should be made payable to the Fraser Valley Regional District and sent to:
