Air quality advisory cancelled

August 13, 2014

The fine particulate matter air quality advisory issued on August 12, 2014 has now been cancelled. Air quality has improved due to the current weather system moving through the region. However, since forest fires in Washington State and eastern B.C. remain active, another air quality advisory may be initiated if smoke causes air quality to deteriorate.

The Fraser Valley Regional District works in collaboration with Environment Canada and the B.C. Ministry of the Environment and Metro Vancouver on air quality issues. For real-time air quality readings for the Fraser Valley, visit
