Thacker Park is an 11-hectare park in Hope near Kawkawa Lake. One of the park's main attractions is the spawning and rearing channels for coho, pink and chum salmon. Beginning in September in even-numbered years and October in odd-numbered years, these salmon return to spawn in the park's spawning channels.
