Privacy

The FVRD recognizes that as a local government, there is a need to collect, use or disclose personal information as part of carrying out its day to day operations.  The FVRD's Privacy Management Program demonstrates the FVRD's committment and accountability with respect to the protection of the privacy and personal information in all FVRD programs, activities and operations.  

The FVRD's Privacy Officer supports the development, implementation and maintenance of the FVRD's Privacy Management Program.  This program consists of components such as policies, procedures, training and awareness which assist the FVRD in setting clear expectations for privacy accountability, and supporting compliance with the requirements under the Freedom of Information and Protection of Privacy Act.
