Area D Integrated Water Systems

The Area D Integrated Water System area was established in 2010 by the Fraser Valley Regional District. Prior to 2010, the area was serviced by three separate water systems, West Popkum, Bridal Falls, and Cheam Water Systems. There are approximately 400 customer accounts on this water service. In 2010 an additional water main was installed to connect the three water systems into a single water system. The water source for the system is supplied by three ground water wells. A 1640 cubic metre reservoir was constructed to provide storage for domestic and emergency demands. The reservoir site was prepared for future additional storage capacity.
