Boston Bar Integrated Water System

The Boston Bar Integrated Water system service area was established in 2011 by the Fraser Valley Regional District. Prior to 2011, the Boston Bar area was supplied water by seven separate untreated surface supply systems. In 2012 a new water treatment facility was constructed, and is comprised of cartridge filtration, UV and chlorine disinfection. Raw water is supplied to the treatment facility through a single source. A new water main was constructed to connect the seven distribution systems into one distribution system, and  a 467 cubic meter reservoir was constructed to provide storage for domestic and emergency demands. There are approximately 130 customer accounts on the water service, all of which are metered.
