The North Bend water system service area was established in 1990 by the Regional District of Fraser-Cheam and became a Fraser Valley Regional District service area after amalgamation. The water system services the community of North Bend in the Fraser Canyon, Electoral Area A. There are approximately 47 customer accounts on this water service, all of which are metered. The source water for this system is surface water. In 2010 a new water treatment facility was constructed, the facility is comprised of cartridge filtration, UV and chlorine disinfection. There is a 400-m3 reservoir that provides storage for domestic and emergency demands.
