Another air quality advisory for the Fraser Valley

July 6, 2015

The air quality advisory issued yesterday for Metro Vancouver has now been extended to include the Fraser Valley due to high concentrations of fine particulate matter. These high concentrations are the result of smoke coming from a large number of wildfires outside our region.

Those with chronic underlying medical conditions should avoid strenous outdoor activities, and are encouraged to stay indoors as much as possible. Exposure to fine particulate matter is of concern for infants, the elderly and those who have diabetes, lung or heart disease.
