Parkview Water System to be upgraded

Thanks to grants from the federal and provincial governments, the Parkview Water System in Electoral Area H will receive important infrastructure upgrades that will improve water quality, pressure and provide enhanced fire protection.
MP Mark Strahl and MLA Laurie Throness joined Chair Sharon Gaetz and Electoral Area H Director Taryn Dixon on Friday, June 10 to announce the joint funding program through the Small Communities Fund. The total project is valued at $189.750 and is cost shared between each level of government, or $63,250 each.
"The Fraser Valley Regional District is committed to ensuring that all of its residents have access to safe and secure drinking water. We are grateful to the provincial and federal governments for matching funds that will allow us to upgrade our community water systems and improve water quality and pressure for Electoral Area H residents. This project will also enhance our ability to provide adequate fire protection to our community," says Dixon.
