FVRD Appoints New Manager for Recreation Centre in Hope

The Fraser Valley Regional District is pleased to announce the appointment of Codie Anderson as manager of recreation, culture and airpark services in Hope. In this senior role, Anderson will be responsible for the delivery of recreational and cultural services and programs within Electoral Areas “A” and “B”, and the District of Hope, and to other partners and communities of interest. With considerable experience in the management of recreation and athletics, Anderson most recently worked as the interim director of athletics and recreation with Kwantlen Polytechnic University. Codie Anderson has a bachelor degree in sports management from Brock University.
Paul Gipps, chief administrative officer for the FVRD said, “With the realignment of our management structure and promoting Ms. Marshall to our corporate headquarters, the FVRD began its search for a positive, results-oriented individual who will foster a culture of continuous improvement and excellent customer service in Hope. Codie impressed the selection panel not only with his skills and knowledge of the recreation industry, but as someone who brings strong teambuilding skills to move the recreation centre forward.”
Starting May 8, Codie Anderson will report to the chief administrative officer and will also work directly with the Recreation, Culture and Airpark Services Commission.
