Improving pedestrian and cycling access at Cultus Lake
April 4, 2017
Construction is now underway on a new trail connection at Cultus Lake that will provide residents and visitors with easier access to the lake. The new trail will feature a compact gravel base suitable for walking, running, and family cycling, and extends from Creekside Estates to the existing Watt Creek Trail.
MLA Laurie Throness and FVRD Electoral Area H Director Taryn Dixon along with representatives from the Ministry of Transportation and Infrastructure, BC Parks, and the Lakeside Trail Society announced the new trail connection yesterday as they took part in a guided walk through the site. Total investment into the community is approximately $400,000, and completion is expected to be complete by the end of 2017.
