Join the Conversation on Shaping the Future of Active Transportation in Your Community

October 31, 2023

The Fraser Valley Regional District (FVRD) is excited to announce the launch of a public consultation process that empowers community members in electoral areas to participate in shaping the future of active transportation in their region.

Learn About The Active Transportation Network Plan

The Active Transportation Network Plan (ATNP) is a visionary initiative to establish a comprehensive and interconnected network for human-powered modes of transportation, including walking, biking, rolling, e-scooters, e-bikes, and mobility aid usage. The focus of the ATNP is to develop a network of safe and accessible active transportation opportunities for community members of all ages and abilities throughout electoral areas of the FVRD. Through collaboration with community members, the ATNP will establish a vision for active transportation in the FVRD and identify priority projects and locations for active transportation infrastructure.

Jason Lum, Chair of the FVRD Board, emphasized the importance of community participation in this endeavour, saying, “We are excited to embark on this journey to enhance active transportation in our region. Together with our electoral area communities, we aim to create a plan that truly reflects our residents’ interests and needs.”
