Air Quality Advisory Cancelled
September 15, 2022
The Air Quality Advisory for fine particulate matter that has been in effect since September 10 has been cancelled. The advisory was first issued on September 10 for the entire Lower Fraser Valley, but cancelled for Metro Vancouver and the Central Fraser Valley on September 14, while remaining in place for the Eastern Fraser Valley. Air quality has improved due to a change in the weather that has brought cleaner air into the entire region and helped reduce wildfire activity.
The Fraser Valley Regional District and Metro Vancouver work in cooperation with Environment and Climate Change Canada, and B.C. Ministry of Environment and Climate Change Strategy to look after air quality.
