- EVACUATION ALERT – LANDS ADJACENT AND NEAR TO THE CHILLIWACK RIVER IN FVRD ELECTORAL AREA E January 11, 2026 The Fraser Valley Regional District has issued an Evacuation Alert for the area of Electoral Area E because of the potential danger to life and safety due to an atmospheric river event with high river flows in the Chilliwack River Valley. - FVRD IS ASKING RESIDENTS TO REPORT ATMOSPHERIC RIVER DAMAGE FROM ACROSS THE REGION BEFORE THIS WEEK’S DEADLINE January 5, 2026 The Fraser Valley Regional (FVRD) is asking residents to continue to submit incidents to help the FVRD track damage caused by the recent atmospheric river event. With a deadline for submitting reports quickly approaching, the FVRD is asking for FVRD residents to update or report damage or impacts to their private property by Friday, January 9, 2026 at 4:30 p.m. by using the FVRD Emergency Status Map. For convenience, residents can report information 24 hours a day prior to the deadline. Read More
- ATMOSPHERIC RIVER UPDATE – Wednesday, Dec. 24 December 24, 2025 The Fraser Valley Regional District has extended the State of Local Emergency (SOLE) declaration for an additional fourteen days. The SOLE now applies to a reduced area, spanning west from Allison Pool to the western boundary of Electoral Area E. Read More

- FVRD Emergency Status Map Launches December 18, 2025 The new easy-to-use tool allows residents and First Responders to help the FVRD track the incidents such as those caused by the recent atmospheric river events.
