Transit
Public transit in the Fraser Valley is provided by BC Transit in partnership with local governments.
Local and interregional transit services are provided by three separate transit systems (Chilliwack, Central Fraser Valley, and FVRD).
The FVRD administers three transit routes on behalf of municipal and First Nation partners:
- Agassiz-Harrison (Route 71): travels between Agassiz and Harrison to Chilliwack
- Hope (Route 72): travels between Agassiz and Hope.
- Fraser Valley Express or FVX (Route 66): travels between Chilliwack, Abbotsford, Langley, and Burnaby (Lougheed Town Centre).
For fares, schedules, trip planning, and route maps specific to your transit system, visit bctransit.com. Tip: Click “Change Transit System” at the top right of the page to ensure your transit system is selected.

Bus fare can be paid using the Umo app, a reloadable Umo card, or cash upon boarding. Previously purchased paper-fare products are still accepted but no longer sold.

- Load your Umo card or app with cash or purchase a pass using the app, website, by visiting a vendor, or calling 877-380-8181.
Cash balances on Umo products can be used on any BC Transit system; however, passes are only valid for the transit system or route they are purchased for.
