2027 Dog Licence Renewals

The Fraser Valley Regional District (FVRD) is issuing paper invoices for 2027 dog licence renewals this week. If you have signed up to receive your annual invoice with paperless billing through your MyFVRD account, monitor your email inbox for your invoice.

Helpful Tips for Dog Licence Renewals & New Dog Registrations:

• Payments cannot be done by e-transfer at this time; if you prefer online options, please consider creating a MyFVRD account.
• Please visit your online account to view your invoice or account balance if you have not received a paper invoice in the mail.
• Visit fvrd.ca/onlineservices to:
  • Pay your dog licence online
  • To set-up your account
  • Or to update your account information
• Pay in person at these in-person Dog Licence renewal locations
• New Dog Licences for dogs not previously licensed you must apply for a new licence either online, in person, or by calling 844-495-2273.

The FVRD manages dog licensing for Abbotsford, Chilliwack, Harrison Hot Springs, Kent (Agassiz), and Mission. All dogs who are four months or older must have a current licence. The fine for owning an unlicensed dog is $200. The use of the licence fee is to provide dog-related services that benefit the community. FVRD Community Animal Response & Education (CARE) Centre staff patrol public areas for off-leash dogs and other infractions, and investigate dog-related complaints (barking dogs, aggressive dogs, dog bite incidents, etc.) ensuring the areas are safe for everyone’s use. The CARE Centre also temporarily houses lost, stray and impounded dogs. The FVRD CARE Centre provides quality medical care, nutrition, socialization, and exercise for the dogs in care. Some of the dogs in care wait to be claimed by their owners, while others are evaluated to determine their adoption needs.
