A Moment for Appreciation

On July 27, 2026, FVRD utility crews began their work on the Boston Bar water system through a phased approach.

Today we are celebrating the good work FVRD utility crews are doing to support the Boston Bar community and their water service. Thank you for your dedication!

Although assessment work is ongoing, the water system has been restored and thankfully, no significant damage was found in the water system. This is a reminder that Boil Water Notices and Stage 4 Restrictions for the Boston Bar and North Bend water systems are still in effect. The water coming out of taps is not potable (drinking) water. When water is run from taps, turbidity can be expected while utility crews continue their assessments.

The FVRD is filled with appreciation for the Boston Bar/North Bend Fire Department. The undeniable dedication of the local firefighters to support emergency response efforts throughout the wildfire is sincerely appreciated and we are in awe of your pride in serving the community when it matters most. Thank you for your courage!

We also extend sincere appreciation to the many organizations, agencies, community partners, who continue to assist the FVRD EOC in response efforts for the Brunswick Complex Wildfire. Your time, expertise, resources, and focus on helping to protect communities is appreciated.
