EVACUATION ALERT: Coquihalla Lakes Area

Effective immediately, the area described as Coquihalla Lakes is on Evacuation Alert and must prepare for the possibility of an evacuation due to the Brunswick Complex wildfire. A map of the affected area and property addresses is in the Evacuation Alert on the FVRD website.

There are 15 properties in the Evacuation Alert area. One property is a recreational destination with several cabins on it.

A portion of the Alert area is used recreationally, and users should be aware of the risks.

This Evacuation Alert applies only to lands within Fraser Valley Regional District Electoral Areas. Evacuation notices for First Nations communities are issued by the respective First Nations.

Information for residents and visitors:

• Pack essential items: Identification, prescriptions, documents, care and first aid needs
• Make plans for those needing extra assistance
• Mape plans for pets and livestock
• Arrange for transportation
• Plan where to stay
