Preliminary Election Results – 2026 FVRD General Local Election

The preliminary results for the 2026 FVRD General Local Election are now available.

The following candidates have been elected to the position of Electoral Area Director:

Electoral Area A

Attila Banhegyi

Electoral Area B

Dennis Adamson

Electoral Area F

Hugh Davidson

Electoral Area G 

Cory Cassel

The term of office for these positions is four years, commencing November 2026.

Boston Bar and North Bend Television Referendum Results

An assent voting opportunity (referendum) for electors within the Boston Bar and North Bend Closed Circuit Television Service Area was held on the following question:

“Are you in favour of ending the Boston Bar and North Bend television service area by the Fraser Valley Regional District adopting Repeal Bylaw No. 1829, 2026?”

     YES      102 

     NO      117

These results are preliminary only and are based on ballot accounting. The official Declaration and Determination of Election Results will take place in the week of October 19, 2026.

The Area Directors for Electoral Area C, D, E, and H were previously Declared Elected by Acclamation.
