Waste Reduction Initiative
Do you have an innovative idea to reduce the amount of garbage going to the landfill?
Your project could be eligible for up to $5000 of grant funding!
The FVRD’s Waste Reduction Initiative Fund is a two-year pilot program providing funds to assist non-profit organizations in supporting innovative projects that align with the diversion and waste reduction goals outlined in the FVRD’s Solid Waste Management Plan. $20,000 in funding will be available yearly, with a maximum of $5,000 per project.
How To Apply
- Read the program guide to determine if your organization and project are eligible. If you're not sure you qualify, email us at wastewise@fvrd.ca or call the Environmental Services Team at 604-702-5067.
- Complete the application form and email it to wastewise@fvrd.ca. Be sure to include the phrase WASTE REDUCTION INITIATIVE FUND APPLICATION in the subject line.
The Environmental Services Team will evaluate your application and respond within 3 - 4 weeks.
