EVACUATION ALERT RESCIND/CANCELLED FOR ELECTORAL AREA E, SHELDON ROAD AREA & WILSON ROAD AREA

The Fraser Valley Regional District has issued an Evacuation Alert Rescind/Cancelled for Electoral Area E – Sheldon Road area and Wilson Road area because of the current lower river levels. The River Forecast Centre has downgraded the Flood Watch to a High Streamflow Advisory. An Evacuation Alert may need to be reissued; however, if that is deemed necessary, the Evacuation Alert process will re-commence.

Areas of impact:

The FVRD Emergency Operation Centre (EOC) continues to operate at this time. To contact the EOC Public Information Line, dial 778-704-0400.

The FVRD would like to remind residents to stay safe and take precautions during this time. Please stay away from swift-running rivers and unstable banks. Due to the soil saturation, expect possible erosion and debris slides.
