FVRD EOC UPDATE - July 3, 2026
The Fraser Valley Regional District (FVRD) and Boston Bar Fire Department continue to work with BC Wildfire Service (BCWS) in response to the Brunswick Creek wildfire V10742, located north of North Bend in Electoral Area A. The FVRD and Boston Bar Fire Department appreciate BCWS’s continued support in responding to this wildfire.
Yesterday, the FVRD issued an evacuation alert for 4 properties in Electoral Area A on Chaumox Road north of North Bend. These properties remain under an Evacuation Alert.

Active wildfire response is underway. The public is asked to stay away from the area and follow instructions from official response agencies to ensure crews can work safely and effectively.
The Chaumox Landfill will be closed on Saturday. Reopening and operating hours will be assessed based on fire activity and the status of Chaumox Road. At this time, traffic along Chaumox Road is restricted to local residents only.
The wildfire will continue to produce smoke in the area. Residents with health sensitivities should take steps to reduce their exposure to smoke.
