FVRD EOC Update - July 4, 2026
At the recommendation of the BC Wildfire Service, an Evacuation ORDER and ALERT has been issued in Electoral Area A due to the Brunswick Creek wildfire, with an Order for North Bend and adjacent properties on the west side of the Fraser River and an Alert for Boston Bar extending both north and south.
Residents and visitors in the Evacuation Order area must leave immediately. Those in the Evacuation Alert area are not required to evacuate at this time but must be prepared to leave on short notice.
This afternoon, a change in wind conditions caused the Brunswick Creek wildfire V10742 to grow rapidly. The fire remains out of control at this time.
Residents can self-register for Emergency Support Services at https://ess.gov.bc.ca/.
The Conference Centre at the Hope Recreation Centre will reopen tomorrow at 10:30 AM as a temporary reception centre for residents under the Evacuation Order.
