Important Information for FVRD Electoral Area A:

• The Ministry of Forests, and the Ministry of Water, Lands, and Resource Stewardship has begun the Post-Wildfire Natural Hazard Assessment (PWNHA) process and issued a preliminary report for the west side of the Fraser River, and for Ainslie Creek. Land-based recovery considerations will be integrated throughout the recovery management program, with significant reliance on provincial partners responsible for Crown land management and restoration, as well as Indigenous Governing Bodies and their interests in traditional and cultural land uses.

FVRD Emergency Resiliency Centre

The FVRD Emergency Resiliency Centre will be open in the Event Room at Canyon Lanes (47585 Trans-Canada Hwy) on:

• Monday, September 21, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
• Tuesday, September 22, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Residents are welcome to drop in to connect with the Recovery Manager and Resiliency Centre Coordinator, access resources and referrals, connect with others, and receive support from non-profit organizations, government, and private-sector partners.

Future hours will be determined based on community need.

Electoral Area A is the northeastern-most area of the FVRD and the centre of the scenic Fraser Canyon. It includes the beautiful communities of Boston Bar, North Bend, and Canyon Alpine.
